This policy applies to appointment deposits and advance payments made through Tax Smart Service. Service-specific written agreements or checkout terms may include additional provisions.
Appointment payments
Payments used to reserve an appointment are non-refundable because the scheduled time is held for you. This includes missed appointments and cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, except where otherwise required by law.
Rescheduling
You may request one transfer of your appointment payment to a new date by contacting us at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time. Requests made with less notice may be treated as a cancellation, and a new payment may be required.
No-shows and late arrivals
If you do not attend and have not contacted us, the appointment payment is forfeited. Late arrival may shorten the available appointment time. If the remaining time is not sufficient to provide the scheduled service, the appointment may need to be rescheduled and a new payment may apply.
Duplicate or incorrect charges
If you believe you were charged more than once or that a payment was processed incorrectly, contact us promptly. We will review the transaction and correct verified billing errors.
Products and completed services
Refund eligibility for products or services other than appointment deposits depends on the applicable checkout terms, the nature and completion status of the service, and any written service agreement. Government filing fees, shipping charges, third-party fees, and work already performed may be non-refundable.
How to request help
Use our contact page as soon as possible and include your name, appointment or order date, and a brief description of the issue. Do not include Social Security numbers, tax documents, or payment-card details in the message.
